Planting our own Healthy Food

At the end of term 3 we planted many seeds to grow over the holidays.They were beans,lettuces,zuchinis and sun flowers.

Welcome to term 4

The children of Room 12 want to find out;
 Why they have to be healthy?

Turuturu Tickets

We love Turuturu Tickets because they show how well we have been learning.

Crabs made by R12

Room12 made crabs and octopus.We sewed  and stuffed them in two weeks.

The Ocean

We went to the Rocky Shore in New Plymouth and found some crabs,cushion stars,cats eyes ,neptunes necklace and shrimps.

Recycling

Suzie and Reeve were planting six seeds in a Terrarium.

We are the Solar System

This is room 12's favourite space song.

Going to the Movies

In the holidays I went to the movies to see ‘Brave’.  It was funny because at the end Princess Merida’s mother and little brothers turn into bears and the sun disappears.   When the sun comes back they have lost their clothes!  It was a good movie.  I went with my sisters Zuzu and Kat.  It was cool.

My Holidays

In the holidays I stayed at Lexie’s house.  We went to the movies to see Ice Age 4. We had popcorn and a drink. The movie was about a pirate and his mates.   They were baddies. For tea we had MacDonalds, it was yum and I got a toy!  I like staying at Lexie’s because we always have fun.

Flying Through Space

In the holidays I went to the pools. It was cool because I did a flip when Dad threw me up.  It was like being thrown out of space. I went with my sisters Sienna and Isis, Mum and Dad. Mum didn’t swim she watched me doing flips. I like going to the pools because I can breathe under the water for 20 minutes!

Terrariums

1. Our teacher cut the top off the plastic bottles with a sharp knife.

2.We put the potting mix in the bottle.

3.Then we put two plant seeds in our terrariums.

Our room is learning that you can reuse many objects.

Room 12 can reduce by using plastic containers in their lunch boxes.
